One of the major reasons behind the popularity of tablet computers is that they are smaller and more portable than laptops.

But what if there is one that weighs just 1.9 lb and measures 10.77 millimetres? Would you still go for the less powerful tablet or instead buy the Blade 13 Carbon laptop being introduced by Inhon, a Taiwanese tech firm?

In contrast, four tablets are heavier and thicker than the Blade 13, while three more are thicker but lighter than Blade 13.

It is also thinner than some smartphones such as the Nokia Lumia 620.

Despite its thinness and light weight, the device's specs are by no means lightweight. It features a Core i5 or i7 CPU, 1080p screen, 128GB or 256GB SSD and 4GB of RAM.

The price tag is $1,350, while a dialed-back model 1,600 x 900 fiberglass which is still lean at 12.6 mm and 2.6 lb, costs for around $1,000.

The two models will begin to sell in Taiwan in June. It is not the Taiwanese firm's first model, since it had previously released the Inhon Full Carbon Ultrabook 11.6, which was featured in the Computex 2012 in Taiwan.
