Episode 3 recap
Asha (Brooklyn Sudano) summons Mills to talk about Mejia (Romano Orzari). She appears keen to know how he got his hands on the feed to a black ops site. She then tries to talk him out of his personal tragedy, also expressing her concern for him.
Meanwhile, Mills is notified about an impending terrorist attack the city is prone to. A terrorist suspect, Ismat Zahad, whom the team had their eyes on has suddenly vanished. This puts the city on high alert. Ismat’s close ties with his cousin Tala Zahad, who reportedly blew himself up in a crowded area, is what made him end up on the list of suspects.
So when Mills and Hart goes to talk to his family, Ismat’s only son Amir, who seems to resent them, tries to run away. Mills follows the boy and soon catches up with him only to realise that his father is not the suspect but a victim. The same is revealed from a cellphone video which Amir had captured. In the video, Ismat is seen being kidnapped by masked men.
The team soon grabs hold of ex-Special Agent Mike Gilroy, who is known to have been involved in the kidnapping. They get to learn from him that a greater power is at play here. Meanwhile, Ismat is traced back to a bathroom at a coffee shop, strapped to a vest of explosives that have only an hour to detonate.
Despite Ismat’s insistence to leave him at his plight, Mills tries every possible way to save the man’s life. Elsewhere, Hart takes Mike to a secluded place to trade him off for Ismat’s life. The deal is called off however as Mills manages to diffuse the bomb by jumping into the water where there is no cellphone reception.
Later Hart meets Burt Keagy, who has been the mastermind of the entire plan. Mills takes out Keagy and his bodyguard after Hart fails to talk him out.
Taken season 1 episode 4 arrives March 20 exclusively on NBC in the US. The show is yet to premiere in Australia.
