For the very first time, Taylor Kinney has opened up about his relationship with Lady Gaga. And although the world sees her as bizarre, Taylor dispelled rumors that their relationship is anything but normal.

Since Lady Gaga is certainly far from normal, other suspects that her private relationships go the same way. But for the very first time, her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, spoke up about how normal his relationship is with the singer on "The Today Show."

While he was promoting his new show "Chicago Fire," the hunk actor didn't escape queries about her girlfriend, Lady Gaga. When asked if he felt strange dating someone like Lady Gaga, Taylor said that like other couples, they're normal.

"I don't know, because I don't have that outside view. It's normal, if you will, in that respect. I'm a happy guy. I'm a lucky guy," he opened up.

Taylor also spoke about how surprised he was when Lady Gaga tweeted his support for his new show, where he plays as Lt. Kelly Severide.

"I was surprised. I think she's proud of, you know, a girlfriend being proud of her boyfriend. She's been to the set a couple of times," he added.

However, Taylor admits that he sometimes find it difficult to cope with the distance especially when Gaga is on tour. He jokingly said that his girlfriend has a "spaceship" and therefore can go from A to B quickly.

Meanwhile, he also talked about his new role as a firefighter in Chicago Fire. Taylor said that he had to undergo training with real firemen which gave him new-found respect for the profession.

"If you do get engulfed in flames even with the gear, the suits that these guys wear, you only have 18 seconds until you're toast. Getting to ride along with these guys ... it's that respect and adoration that you had for these men and women when you were a kid," Taylor said.
