Taylor Momsen Quits Acting to Focus on Music [PHOTOS]

In an interview she did for Elle magazine, Taylor Momsen has announced that she has officially quit acting to focus on her music career.

The 18-year-old "Gossip Girl" star recently told Elle magazine in an interview that she intends to focus on her singing career. Momsen, who sings for the band called "The Pretty Reckless," left her role as Jenny Humphrey in the hit WC series in Nov. last year. Last Six months later, representatives from Momsen's team announced the star won't be reviving her role in the Blake Lively and Leighton Meester-starred series.

"I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band," says Momsen in to Elle as reported by Us Magazine. "That's pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life." adds the Pretty Reckless singer in the same post. Before announcing that she won't be returning to act for Gossip Girl anymore, Momsen already revealed hints about his choice of career.

"[Music] is all I ever wanted to do with my life," says Momsen in an interview with Us Magazine last April.

"I wanted to make records and tour, so it's very exciting that our first record is coming out and people can actually hear it." adds Momsen in the same Us Magazine interview.
