Taylor Swift Breaks 'No Dating Rule,' Asks Ed Sheeran To Set Her Up With A British Guy
Taylor Swift has reportedly asked Ed Sheeran to play cupid and find her someone to date. This news comes just after the news that Taylor is content and happy being single.
Heat mag reports that Taylor Swift has a high regard for Ed Sheeran's judge of character. This is why she reportedly asked the "Thinking Out Loud" singer to become her matchmaker. She believes that because Ed genuinely cares about her, he will not let Taylor date someone who is going to harm her, such as playboys or users. Heat mag also said that Taylor even gave Ed a checklist of the traits she would like to see in the boy. She wants a guy who has been single for more than six months. According to reports, this is Taylor's way to avoid becoming a rebound love. She also want someone who's keen on having a long-term relationship and is committed to her.
Interestingly, the said list also includes someone who is British, but must not have southern accents that would remind her of Harry Styles. It is said that Taylor is still bitter about what happened between her and the 1D member.
Ed did not find it difficult to find someone who fits Taylor's specifics. Seventeen magazine has reported that Ed decided that singer/songwriter BFF from Devon - Ryan Keen would be perfect for the "Shake It Off" singer. He's a friend of Ed since 2011.
"Ed wants to get him to NYC where Taylor lives and work out a good time for them to meet. She's even joked that if he finds her a husband, she'll name her first child after him," the source of Heat magazine added.
Her interview with Cosmopolitan UK, however, showed how contented she is without being in a relationship. The singer said that most people actually found it hard to believe that's she's not lonely and at the same time, not looking for the next guy to date. "Life can be romantic without having a romance. I'm very attracted to how happy I am now," the "Red" singer said. She also added that someone's cuteness is not enough to let her sacrifice her independence and have everyone talk about her because of it.
