Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy to Perform at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy will be among the four acts that will perform at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
The lingerie company has announced in their official website Tuesday the artists who will perform in the annual fashion show. The 23-year-old singer and the four-man American rock band are the more familiar names in the show's lineup. Two more acts include A Great Big Day and Neon Jungle.
The indie-pop duo A Great Big Day has in its resume a six-track self-funded EP, which led to a recording contract with Epic Records. Under the label, they released the viral hit "This Is The New Year" and was covered by the cast of Glee. British girl group Neon Jungle, on the other hand, had just completed a tour with Jessie J.
"If a mad scientist were asked to create the perfect combination of the beauty of a Victoria's Secret Angel with the ultimate talent and creativity from today's music scene, the answer would be simple -- Taylor Swift," Jack Sussman, Executive Vice-President for Specials and Events of CBS, said in a statement. "The perfect combination of Victoria's Secret and Taylor Swift, with Fall Out Boy, A Great Big World and Neon Jungle, adds up to a big night of entertainment on CBS."
Meanwhile, MTV imagines what the 'Love Story' singer would look like during the fashion show by inserting photos of her onstage appearances alongside photos of Victoria's Secret angels during the past fashion shows.
Over the years, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has featured live performances from popular acts while their models walk down the runway. Past performers include Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake.
The fashion show is an invitation-only event to be held today at the Lexington Armory in New York, but will be taped for airing on Dec. 10, Tuesday, via CBS and the Victoria's Secret All Access streaming site.
