Taylor Swift on Friendship with Selena Gomez: 'It’s been the longest one I think either of us had really' [PHOTOS]

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends for the longest time as evidenced by the former's latest interview. According to the country crooner, her friendship with Gomez has been the "longest." Of course for Gomez, aside from Taylor, her friendship with Lovato can also be considered the longest friendship.

Countless rumours over the web had surfaced about Taylor and Selena's alleged feud. Due to the latter's sudden reconciliation with Justin Bieber, the "Red" singer had allegedly issued an ultimatum for Gomez stating either she pick her friendship with her or the Canadian crooner. Obviously, Gomez opted for the second choice given it took months before the former BFFs were once again spotted hanging out together.

The feud rumours escalated when Gomez was spotted hanging out with Kendall Jenner, who had happened to date Swift's famous ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles. Yet, after having ended her friendship with the Jenners, Gomez immediately rekindled her friendship with Swift. The former besties were seen enjoying the MET Gala.

In an interview with E! Online, the country crooner opens up about her friendship with the "Come & Get It" singer.

"It's been the longest one I think either of us had really. When your life changes and you become thrust into this really strange whirlwind where what your life is different from what other people think your life is," stated Swift (via Indian Express), adding, "And your life is commented on and your life is written about and fictionalised and all that. Both of us have kind of stuck it out and hung in there through all the different changes we've gone through."

The rumours about their feud certainly stopped after their MET Gala reunion. In addition, thanks to Swift's interview any added gossip about their fights won't be any close to believable.

"Longevity is something you really can find very precious and rare in friendships," continued Swift (via Sugarscape).
