Taylor Swift gives love to Avril Lavigne amidst feud speculations

Taylor Swift recently squashed rumours of a feud between her and fellow musician Avril Lavigne when she invited the singer on stage during her 1989 World Tour concert in San Diego on Aug. 29. Taylor also proved there is no “Bad Blood” between them when she sent her love to Avril on Twitter.

In a video shared by Mirror UK , Taylor could be seen looking happy as she grinned and welcomed Avril on stage. The “Shake It Off” singer invited the 30-year-old on stage for a show-stopping duet of the rock star’s 2002 hit “Complicated.” Taylor could be seen clearly enjoying her time as she bounced and twirled around to the beat of the song while the audience cheered on.

She later took to her Twitter page to express her delight over Avril joining her on stage. Taylor shared three photos of her and Avril performing along with the caption, “So incredible sharing the stage with @AvrilLavigne! 'Complicated' is such a brilliant pop song and I just love her.”

Avril returned the favour and also expressed her gratitude to Taylor on her Instagram page. In a trio of photos taken during the San Diego performance, she expressed her delight and said, “She is a Doll. Thank you Taylor for having me up on stage and thank you San Diego.” She also revealed that it was “such a Pleasure" to perform "Complicated" with Taylor for her 1989 World Tour. Her third photo shows her and Taylor hugging each other on stage, and Avril captioned the shot, “Love this pic from last night! @taylorswift #1989Tour #Complicated.”

Taylor and Avril were rumoured to have suffered a fallout after Taylor liked a post on Tumblr that compared her reaction to her meet and greet with her fans to that of Avril’s. The post reportedly suggested the “Blank Space” singer was more personal with her fans than Avril is. The UnitedForAvril Twitter page had shared the same Tumblr post along with the caption, “Taylor Swift liked a post comparing her M&G with @AvrilLavigne's M&G.” The post, which was shared on Twitter on Aug. 23, has received 682 retweets and 899 favourites.

Avril has since responded to the critics on her Twitter page and shared a collage of photos where she’s seen getting personal with her fans. She captioned her post, “So let's keep it all about the love and stay positive.”
