Taylor Swift isn’t really getting back together with Harry Styles. Proving once again that she can’t be friends with an ex-boyfriend, the 23-year-old notorious singer/songwriter was seen dissing the One Direction star not once but twice at the Video Music Awards on Sunday.

There had been a rumour that Taylor has already forgiven Harry, whom she dated for two months before splitting in January 2013, for allegedly being unfaithful to her.

A source of the UK gossip site The Sun even suggested that their reconciliation would even pave the way for a harmonious meeting at the VMA for the two of them.

However, if Taylor’s frosty reaction to seeing the 19-year-old British boybander at the music awards was any indication, then there clearly wasn’t any harmonious meeting between the two.

In fact, Taylor still appeared to be bitter about being in the same room as Harry. And she let the world know about her feelings twice.

When she won the Best Female Video award for her track “I Knew You Were Trouble,” she couldn’t resist taking a swipe at a certain someone.

“I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these,” she said, as if mocking whoever she was referring to.

The camera panned to the One Direction boys just after Taylor’s very swift speech.

Although she didn’t name the person who “inspired” her song, fans of both Taylor and Harry, as well as the audience in general, knew that she was referring to her ex-boyfriend. Taylor has gotten a reputation for dissing her ex-boyfriends in her songs, so it’s no surprise to anyone if “I Knew You Were Trouble” was indeed inspired by Harry.

But Taylor wasn’t through yet. Moments later, she was seen mouthing off the words “shut the f*** up,” complete with neck gesture, while Harry and his bandmates were thanking their fans onstage.

To be fair to Taylor, her words couldn’t be heard so it’s possible that she wasn’t really spurting expletives when the camera caught her reaction. Or it could also be that her pal Selena Gomez was telling a joke so funny that caused Taylor to react that way (although Selena clearly had a closed mouth that time).

Nevertheless, Taylor clearly isn’t making more fans after displaying her childish behaviour. Netizens who claim they are neither fans of Taylor nor Harry were aghast at the country-pop songstress’ blatant mocking of her ex-boyfriend.

“she’s obviously not over harry I mean who holds a grudge for this long. You break up and move on. Stop being so damn immature,” (sic) user TruBeauty15 posted on YouTube.

“Taylor Swift and that unnecessary comment, even if it wasn’t about Harry it’s just dumb..c’mon girrrrl,” kim from Twitter wrote.

“I don’t like Taylor Swift because she’s such a vengeful, bitter person who holds grudges and dwells in the past,” Duke E. Brown added on Twitter.

Another Twitter user named Laine Zimmerman was angry for a different reason, writing, “The fact that Taylor Swift beat out Rihanna for best female video makes me want to hurl. Where’s Kanye when ya need him!?”
