Taylor Swift to perform song about Kanye West at MTV VMA 2010
Will it be an "Apology Accepted" song that Taylor Swift will sing about Kanye West? Fans will have to wait and hear it on MTV Awards. Swift had written a song about Kanye West and reportedly would perform the song at the MTV Music Video Awards today.
There's a lot of song writing about Kanye West's upstaging Taylor Swift in the 2009 MTV Awards. West himself had written an apologetic song and had offered it for Swift to sing and record. His latest Twitter apology barrage was widely featured in the media. Swift is yet to announce a decision on West's offer but if she won't perform it, Kanye West said he would "for her."
"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it," Kanye said on his Twitter. "If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."
West was shunned for his behavior at the 2009 awards, when he interrupted Swift as she collected her statuette for best female video. West told Swift and everyone at the Awards show that Beyonce, not Swift, should have won the award. Later, no less than US President Barrack Obama called him a ''jackass''.
"[Taylor Swift] had nothing to do with my issues with award shows," West added. "She had no idea what hit her. She's just a lil girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone."
Now it seems that Swift is about to turn the tables against Kanye West as sources revealed to Huffington Post that Swift has written a song. It's not because Swift has anything to do with Kanye West's issues but sources said, Swift has written about her Kanye West upstaging because of the "sensitivity of the matter." The song is part of Swift's new album Speak Now set to be released in October this year.
