Fans mean the world to celebrities but for one country crooner, they mean garbage - literally. Hundreds of unopened fan letters addressed to Taylor Swift were found at a Nashville dumpster over the weekend. Does this mean Taylor Swift doesn't really appreciate her fans and their love?

Taylor Swift has catapulted in the music business all thanks to her heart-break songs written from personal experience. Swift's honesty and innocence poured out in each song had gained her the attention from young teenagers. Thus, Swift has become one of the most loves singers of her age. Swift has her fans to thank for.

Like other celebrities, Swift had joined the social networking site, Twitter, to keep her fans updated and thank them for their continued support. This in itself is a sign Swift completely adores each of her fan. Yet, with the latest news of fan mails addressed to Taylor Swift found in the dumps, it's obvious Swift really doesn't care about her fans much less their letters.

Kylee Francescon, a native of South Nashville, had come upon the unopened Swift fan mail on her daily rounds at the dumpster of Granberry School.

"I was just tossing my recycling and I saw a letter addressed to Taylor Swift right on top of the massive recycling paper pile and thought, 'That's odd,'" said Francescon in an interview with Yahoo News, adding, "I looked closer and realized there were hundreds of letters and cards ... and some were unopened. So I grabbed a box and tossed them in there. At the time I didn't know if they were stolen, accidentally placed there, or what."

The Swift fan mail were covered in hearts, sparkles and pictures all of which were addressed to Taylor Swift Entertainment at a P.O. Box located at 242 West Main Street in Hendersonville. The owner of the strip mall at Nashville claims that a representative of Swift picks up the fan mail periodically. Still, this would not explain how the letters landed at a Nashville dumpsite.

"I hoped that someone in her staff would at least open them, pull the important ones, and hopefully reply with some sort of postcard or something. At first, I was going to contact her office, but realized that if I did that I could possibly contact the person who haphazardly discarded them ... and Taylor would never know. I know how much she cares about her fans and I wanted her to be aware that her fan mail was not being handled properly," stated Kylee.

Taylor Swift has not spoken up on the issue but her representative has come forth with an explanation about the fan mail thrown out.

"Taylor gets thousands of fan letters every day and they are delivered to her management office," explains Paula Erickson, Taylor's representative. "After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled. The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center. We sincerely appreciate Channel 2 in Nashville bringing this to our attention. We immediately picked up the letters, and they are being dealt with appropriately," continued Paula.
