Taylor Swift is going "Red" hot for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards 2012. If anything, the country crooner is her mind set on making the VMA's an event to remember plus Swift won't be the only golden performer for that night.

Six-time Grammy winner, Taylor Swift, is set to perform that the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards next month. Swift won't be the only golden girl for the night because she'll be joined by the Fierce Five of the US Women's Gymnastics Team namely McKayla Maroney, Gabby Douglas, Kyla Ross, Jordyn Wieber and Alexandra Raisman. It is definitely one event to remember.

While Swift is set for another awesome performance, other big time celebrities will also be present for the night to hand out awards. Who would these A-list celebrities be? Well, fans better expect Mac Miller, Whiz Khalifa and Miley Cyrus.

With only a few weeks to go, who among Hollywood's best musicians are in the lead? RnB princess, Rihanna, is in the lead with five nominations. As for the males, Drake also leads with five nominations. Rihanna and Drake are both in the running for Video of the Year. Along with them for the nomination are Katy Perry, Gotye and M.I.A.

Well-known comedian, Kevin Hart, is set to host the event live at the Staples Center in LA. Other performers other than Swift for that night include Pink, One Direction, Alicia Keys and Green Day. Hopefully, this year's VMA's won't turn out as drastic for Swift unlike last 2009 where Kanye West had hijacked her acceptance speech. Fans of the country crooner will be serenaded with a new song taken especially from Swift's newest album, "Red".

"It's such a different song than anything I've ever put out before," says Swift in the promotional video for the VMAs. Well, everyone can only expect that Swift will be performing her latest single, "We are never ever getting back together" which has sold over 623,000 copies.
