Taylor Swift's 2010 CMA Awards performance elicits applause (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift received a standing ovation from the audience at the 2010 CMA Awards ceremony last Wednesday night as she plays the piano and performs Back to December, a track from her record-breaking album Speak Now.
Swift's performance was introduced by Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl, Country Strong). As she plays the piano, fake snow fell onstage to give Taylor's song the appropriate December feel. Back to December is rumoured to be an apology song for Twilight star Taylor Lautner.
Taylor Swift sang, "Your guard is up and I know why/ Because the last time you saw me is still burned in the back of your mind."
"You gave me roses, and I left them there to die/ So this is me swallowing my pride standing in front of you/ Saying I'm sorry for that night and I go back to December all the time."
For her performance, Taylor Swift received a standing ovation. But more interesting is her reaction to the applause she received. Reportedly, Swift could only say, "What?" Rumours circulating in the internet say that a streaker was apparently among the 2010 CMA Awards audience, but that is yet to be confirmed by any of the attendees.
