Lady Gaga is doing everything she can to promote her new single "Applause" but her new promotional video has really gone a step ahead. The "Born This Way" star has released a new video which tells people not to buy her single as Lady Gaga is a flop!

The video posted by the singer herself on Twitter with a caption - "Lady Gaga is Over" and starts with "If you do not like pop music, you should turn this off." It further goes on to say "Ever since "Born This Way" she is a flop. Do not buy her new single "Applause" on iTunes. Give her no A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E. DON'T Dance to the song at all. DON'T buy "ARTPOP" on November 11. She is over."

Now is this a message to her haters or the clever artist, who is always hungry for publicity, is trying reverse psychology method telling her fans not to do the thing that she wants them to. Whatever way it is, it has us talking!

The video shows Gaga with her hair pulled back and face covered in some plastic film which she takes off gradually. The singer looks and acts weird and achieves her mission - to have her fans talk about her new single.

The singer posted a picture of herself with her face covered in "Applause" like color and said on Twitter, "I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS FOR 2 WEEKS! HERE'S MY APPLAUSE COVER SELFIE -->I USED MY BED SHEET."

Also on Monday Gaga was seen wearing her "Applause" cover makeup to promote her single. The 27-year-old was spotted wearing two different black dresses but her make-up remained same - with lots of colours on her face.

Gaga also made sure to rub few colors of "Applause" on radio host Ryan Seacrest.

"One of us was born this way, one of us needed to be touched up," Seacrest wrote in a caption, sharing the photo on Instagram.

The singer donned a black blazer, short black skirt and platform boots as one ensemble but then changed to long black dress with an interesting neck line by Saint Laurent.

"Thank you SAINT LAURENT @YSL for my beautiful outfits today, I wasn't quite prepared for single release! MERCI!," the singer tweeted with a picture.

Gaga was forced to release her latest single "Applause" early on Monday due to internet leaks. The song was scheduled to premiere on Aug. 19.

The singer was furious when her song leaked online and her tweets showed her anger. "DUE TO HACKERS AN ABUNDANCE OF LOW/HIGH QUALITY LEAKS . . . WE ISSUE THIS POP MUSIC EMERGENCY . . . MONSTERS SPREAD THE WORD," the pop star tweeted Monday.

"MY NEW SINGLE 'APPLAUSE' IS OUT TODAY AND CAN BE HEARD ON UNITED STATES RADIO IN 15 MINUTES. INTERNATIONAL RADIO TO FOLLOW."
