"Teen Wolf" fans did say their sad goodbye to one major character of the MTV series in Season 3, Episode 23 titled "Insatiable." Actress Crystal Reed, who portrays the character Allison Argent, recently talked about her exit and the reason behind it in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Crystal Reed revealed that it was her personal decision to leave "Teen Wolf" and expressed gratitude to the show that heightened her acting career. "It's given me such a platform to be a role model, to be seen, to be heard and, actually, from the beginning, I've grown into a woman from the show - from beginning to end - and I think that was the biggest motivating factor for me to leave. I feel that there's nothing more that I can give to this character," Ms Reed stated.

So proud so honored and so humbled to be a part of @MTVteenwolf. Hoping Ally as touched you as much as she has me. xoxo.

The "Teen Wolf" actress mourns the death of her character with the fans who remembered Allison Argent through shared Instagram photos of their wrists and hands inked with arrows and the words "R.I.P. Allison Argent." According to the MTV report, there are a handful of temporary tattoos with the #GoodbyeAllison label with some even written in foreign languages to show how far the character has reached the heart of the "Teen Wolf" fans.

In EW's interview with the actress, Crystal Reed revealed that she decided to leave the show because she wanted to do and explore different things and avenues of film and television. "I wanted to jump into different characters. You know, I'm 29. So I think the age difference was something I wanted to change as well because she's 17. I love the show so much. So I went to Jeff and talked about it and he said, 'We'll write you a great ending'," the actress shared.

Series creator Jeff Davis did give the actress and character a great and heartbreaking ending where she died in the arms of her first true love, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey). When asked what's in store for Crystal Reed, the actress admitted that she still has no idea.

"I am experiencing my first pilot season, which is nervewracking and crazy. And I am just being really particular about the things I want to do next because I want to make sure that it speaks to me and I feel creative and I can tell a great story. And that's it. I have no plan. I might go to stage. I might to film. I might do theater. It's really up in the air," Crystal Reed shared.
