Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "Teen Wolf" Season 4, Episode 3 titled "Muted." New character Sean (Glenn McCuen), who was looking for his pet cat, noticed that their house was strangely quiet. After spotting the cat covered with blood under his bed, Sean heard screams coming from the next room.
Sean stepped outside to find out what was going on and he met who is responsible for harming his family. The creepy man with no mouth held a bloody ax and warned the teenager that he will come after him. Sean managed to escape and headed to the hospital to ask for help.
Peter (Ian Bohen) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) asked mercenary Braeden (Meagan Tandy) to find Kate Argent so the were-jaguar could answer for what she did to Derek and Peter's money worth $117 million. Braeden told Derek that the only reason for him to be in contact again with the were-jaguar is to find out why his eyes turned yellow.
Back at Beacon Hills High, Coach Finstock (Orny Adams) decided to rebuild the lacrosse team. Scott's position as the team captain gets threatened with the arrival of Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) as the freshman student dominated the lacrosse field.
Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) suggested that Liam could be a were-cheetah because of his lacrosse performance and teamed up with Scott to find out. Scott wanted to get close to Liam to get a scent and find out what the newbie really is but it ended up with Liam getting injured.
Kira got stunned and upset after finding out that her parents are selling their home. Kira insists that she does not want to move back to New York because she finally made friends but Kira's mom knows that her daughter wants to stay because of Scott.
Kira wanted to talk to Scott but he always had an excuse to delay their conversation especially about the kiss the Scott suddenly gave Kira. However, Scott changed his mind and put a closure to their awkward moment before by saying that he is not sorry and gave Kira a real kiss.
The creepy man with no mouth, who can talk with the use of a computer and eats through a tube attached to his neck, can be seen staring at the computer screen reading a weird code that consists of letters, numbers and symbols. Stiles noticed that Lydia (Holland Roden) has been writing the same code on her math notes that she lent Malia (Shelley Hennig), who is struggling with the subject.
Meanwhile, the banshee showed up at Sean's home while Deputy Parrish (Ryan Kelley) was outside and examining the crime photos. The two managed to find a secret storage room in Sean's house and found out about the teenage boy's family secret because the room was filled with dead people.
At the hospital, Melissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio) was looking after a traumatized looking Sean. Scott, who was also in the hospital to help the injured Liam, received a phone call from Lydia instructing him to find Sean.
Melissa entered Sean's room to check up on him but she found the teenage boy eating the police officer who was tasked to guard his room. Sean lunged for Melissa but Scott arrived just in time to save his mom. Unfortunately, Liam became Sean's next target.
Scott found Sean and Liam at the rooftop and the True Alpha werewolf tried to convince Sean that he could help him. "Wendigos don't need help. We need food," Sean answered to Scott's offer on helping him.
Sean attacked Liam but Scott jumped in to stop the Wendigo. Liam went over the side of the roof and he was hanging on for his life. In order to have a hold on Liam while fighting off Sean, Scott bit the freshman student on the arm.
The man without a mouth came to the rescue and killed the Wendigo therefore allowing Scott to pull Liam over. Scott looked at the man who helped but the bald and no-mouth creature only told Scott to keep quiet with a gesture before he left the rooftop.
The ending of the episode showed Liam screaming in pain from Scott's bite while the Alpha werewolf looked down on the new member of his pack. "Teen Wolf" Season 4 will return with Episode 4 titled "The Benefactor" on Monday night, July 14, at 10 pm ET/PT on MTV.
