"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," or "TMNT" 2014 distributed by Paramount Pictures was shown in U.S. and Canadian theatres on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. It stars Megan Fox (April O'Neil), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks), Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Johnny Knoxville (Leonardo's voice), Paul Fitzgerald (Dr. O'Neil), Tohoru Masamune (Shredder), Danny Woodburn (Splinter), Tony Shalhoub (Splinter's voice), Whoopi Goldberg (Bernadette Thompson), Minae Noji (Karai), Abby Elliott (Taylor), K. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" 2014 is directed by Jonathan Liebesman. It's produced by Michael Bay, along with Andrew Form, Ian Bryce, Galen Walker, Scott Mednick and Bradley Fuller. The film's runtime is 101 minutes. Its plot centers on April O'Neil, a Channel 6 news reporter in New York. She is covering the Foot Clan gang and doing some research about it when she comes across the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

BEST MOMENTS:

When...

1. April realised that the turtles she took care of as a child have become the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

2. Eric Sacks explained Project Renaissance to April.

3. Splinter revealed that April saved the turtles' lives when she released them into the sewers during a fire.

4. April and Raphael rescued the other turtles.

5. Shredder and Sacks got defeated.

6. Michelangelo's song for April at the end of the film.

WORST MOMENTS:

When...

1. Splinter got injured due to a battle with the Foot Clan gang in the sewers.

2. Shredder is shown with some mutagen which could make him mutate into a stronger foe next time (If there will be a sequel).

According to Box Office Mojo, the film's budget is $125 million. As of Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, the film has already earned $188,067,003 worldwide (Domestic Total: 120,567,003 + Foreign Total: $67,500,000). "TMNT" earned $65,575,105 in its opening weekend.

IMDB RATINGS:

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) rating for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is 6.4/10 from 18,781 users. It garnered a Metascore of 34/100 from various critics including Bruce Ingram of Chicago Sun-Times and Justin Lowe of The Hollywood Reporter.

ROTTEN TOMATOES RATINGS:

According to the Tomatometer, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" deserves a 20% score and is considered Rotten by Rotten Tomatoes. It scored a 4.3/10 average rating, with 76 considering it rotten and only 19 considering it fresh. It also got a 61% score and a 3.5/5 rating from the audience.

CRITIC REVIEWS:

"A dark, shaky, standard-issue superhero picture," Steven Rea wrote in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Meanwhile, film critic Drew McWeeny of HitFix said that "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is predictable.

AUDIENCE REVIEWS:

"Good Fun Movie! The new turtles movie is not the disaster that it had the potential to be. Having Bay as the producer instead of the director was a better decision for this reviewer, because it put the explosions to a minimum and the action I expected to the max," Manu Gino said in a review posted on the Rotten Tomatoes website.

Super reviewer Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski also wrote on the Rotten Tomatoes website that it has some good effects, but is mediocre.
