‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ – Do Fans Hate the New Look?

The recently released trailer and posters of the upcoming movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" have got the fans buzzing with excitement on the social media. The reactions ranges from disappointment with the new look to nostalgia.

Any form of change may be difficult for a fan to accept, especially if it is of a childhood favorite character. "Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles" is no different, the movie series and the TV show were quite popular in the 1990s.

Some fans are having a hard time accepting the new look in the 2014 version of the movie. Other fans however point out that it is only natural that the new movie would use modern technology available and people cannot expect the look of the super heroes to remain the same.

Many of the fans are just happy that their favourite characters are being brought back to the cinemas. The newly released posters of the movie just show the hand of each turtle clutching the weapon of their choice with their three fingers.

One of the reasons for the popularity of the series is the diversity each character offers. Leonardo is the calm leader, Donatello is an expert when it comes to technology, Raphael is the angry warrior and perhaps the most popular and most liked character is Michelangelo, who is easy going and likes to party.

Fans are still waiting to get a glimpse of the teacher and father figure - Master Splinter. Their arch nemesis Shredder will be back with his Foot Clan to terrorize the city. Their friendly reporter April O'Neil will also be back with only Casey Jones, a character from the previous movies, missing.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" will be released on 11 Sept 2014 in Australia, 8 Aug in the U.S, 17 Oct in the UK and 8 Aug in Canada. The movie promises a combination of action and humour to entertain the viewers.

One noticeable difference between the previous movies and the 2014 movie is the nose. In the previous movies the turtles did not have a noticeable nose whereas in the upcoming movie viewers can see the nose is very prominent, which may have led to some fans disliking the new look.
