Telecom giant Telstra has announced the free trial of its Air Network as the best year-end gift for customers across Australia.

This Christmas, Telstra subscribers can use unlimited and uncapped Telstra Wi-Fi network fully free of cost. According to the telecom company’s assumptions, the customers might avoid using mobile data or their home data costs to access the network. Hence, the only option left with them will be accessing the Internet through the Wi-Fi network, which would enable them to send more than 50 million high-quality pictures from one source to another.

Telstra has, therefore, allowed its mobile and broadband subscribers to access its Telstra Air Network for free from Dec. 15, 2015 to June 30, 2016. With the help of the free Wi-Fi network, the customers will be allowed to tap into more than 200,000 hotspots across Australia connected via pay phones, parks, cafes and retail outlets.

The company launched its Telstra Air Network in June. Through the free trial provided to subscribers, Telstra is making an intelligent effort to leave its competitor behind and excel in the field of communication throughout the nation.

Telstra’s head of Wi-Fi, Neil Louis, claimed that free access to the Air network will help customers connect and share their updates during the festive season. “As Australians hit the beach, head to the coast and relax in our parks, we’re giving eligible customers free Wi-Fi at thousands of Telstra Air hotspots across the nation,” Louis said.

“That means they’ll be able to kick back and relax with their favourite content at selected beaches, parks and many of the nation’s top holiday destinations like Byron Bay, Rosebud, Surfers Paradise, Noosa and Margaret River.”

Telstra’s broadband director Stuart Bird said that the free access offered by Telstra Air Network would allow the system to target customers beyond its existing system and enable tens of thousands of unique subscribers to use the offer.
