Tennis Superstar Rafael Nadal Gets Asked a Douchey Question About Cristiano Ronaldo

Some media reporters add a little punch on sport interviews by sometimes asking awkward questions that the athlete being interviewed had really nothing to do about. Pretty much like what happened in Rafael Nadal's recent interview when he was asked about his opinion on Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's injury.

According to a report by Marca.com, the top-ranked male tennis athlete was an attendee at the "What really matters" congress in Mallorca, and during a press conference, Nadal was somewhat asked about his thoughts on Ronaldo's injury having had experienced serious knee problems before. Nadal explained that he cannot really give any advice to the Portuguese footballer. Nadal was not really trying to be evasive, but he felt he just was not fit to impart any advice.

"I am not qualified to lecture anyone on anything," said Nadal. "I don't think Cristiano Ronaldo needs any help from me," he added. "I don't think the Real Madrid striker's injury will prove to be a problem," said the Spanish athlete.

Nonetheless, Nadal is optimistic that Ronaldo's injury would be nothing serious and that he will soon recover from it. Nadal went on and described Ronaldo as an athlete who delivers "excellence, professionalism, and passion for what he does."

Nadal's Next Tournament

Nadal's next tournament would be in Monte Carlo, which is the first-stop of the European clay-court season. It is said that the Monte Carlo tournament is where the rivalry between Nadal and the second-ranked athlete Novak Djokovic will get heated up, Bleacher Report wrote.

Nadal reportedly performs very well during the month of April, as reported by ATPWorldTour.com. The Web site revealed that Nadal had won 15 of his 62 titles in the month of April. However, Nadal's 81-winning streak on clay court ended also in April when Djokovic defeated him in the finals of Monte Carlo tournament. Thus, it will be exciting to find out if the two great athletes will face again in the Monte Carlo finals.

Nadal performs well on clay court. He has a winning percentage of .934. Nadal also reportedly needs only two more wins on clay court to become the eleventh player to win 300 games in the Open Era.
