‘Terminator: Genisys’ – Arnold Thanks The Fans On Franchise Anniversary
Arnold Schwarzenegger, star of the upcoming movie "Terminator: Genisys," thanked the fans for supporting the franchise in a video message. The message marks the 30th anniversary of the franchise in which the actor plays the iconic cyborg.
The actor attributed the success of the "Terminator" movie franchise to the fans and thanked them. He went on to say that it was great for him as an actor to play a machine. Toward the end of the video, his right eye turned red, resembling his character's look in the original movie. The video message was posted on the actor's Facebook account.
Reacting to the message, the fans recalled some of the popular dialogues from the original "Terminator" movies. The dialogues include "I'll be back" and "I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle." Some of the comments also expressed appreciation for the actor for not forgetting the fans even after becoming such a big celebrity.
"The Terminator" was first released on Oct. 26, 1984. The movie was directed by James Cameron. The most popular movie from the franchise, however, was released on July 3, 1991, by the same director. James Cameron has now moved on to bigger projects like "Avatar."
Meanwhile, "Terminator: Genisys" has completed filming and is currently in the post-production phase. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be reprising his role as the cyborg in the movie. The actor thanked all the cast and crew members for helping in finishing the movie with a "Hasta la vista, baby" message.
The movie will be directed by Alan Taylor who has worked on popular movies like "Thor: The Dark World" and "The Emperor's New Clothes." He has also directed some of the episodes in popular TV shows like "Game of Thrones," "The Sopranos" and "Boardwalk Empire."
The cast members of "Terminator: Genisys" include Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Kerry O'Malley as Kyle's mother, Jason Clarke as John Connor and Courtney B. Vance as Miles Dyson. Some of the other cast members with undisclosed roles include Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee, J.K Simmons, Sandrine Holt and Douglas Smith.
