"The Fault In Our Stars" (TFIOS) actor Ansel Elgort and his longtime girlfriend Violetta Komyshan reportedly broke up.

Us Weekly broke the news in an article published on their website on Tuesday after a source confirmed the couple's split to the celebrity news publication. The source even revealed the reason for Ansel Elgort, 20, and Violetta Komyshan's break up.

The website states that the reason for the couple's split is the "Insurgent" star's "hectic schedule."

"They tried to navigate his commitments, but between filming and press for the movies [it got difficult]," the source told Us Weekly revealing details about Ansel Elgort and Violetta Komyshan's breakup.

However, it seems the decision was mutual, as the source claims that it was an "amicable split" and seemingly dismissed the couple's relationship as "young love."

News of Ansel Elgort and Violetta Komyshan's split comes as a shock to his fans as it wasn't too long ago when the two made their relationship public. The couple was first spotted together showing PDA in June, 2014. Until then, Ansel Elgort is said to have kept his relationship with Violetta low key. "TFIOS" heartthrob made a "rare appearance" with his high school sweetheart at the Paris Fashion Week.

Elgort and Komyshan both studied at LaGuardia High School, said to be one of the most esteemed performing arts schools in New York City.

While Elgort is a talented actor, his girlfriend Komyshan is a talented ballerina. The American actor gained prominence in Hollywood with his work in movies like "Divergent" and "The Fault In Our Stars." The movies also feaured Shailene Woodley, who is another rising star of the industry. The actor was once rumoured to be romancing his co-star Woodley; however, the reports were never confirmed.
