Thanksgiving 2012 Must See Movies: From 'Twilight Saga' to 'Skyfall' [PHOTOS]
Apart from hoarding on all the Turkey meat, Thanksgiving offers a whole lot to those who have this short chance to relax. Thankfully, Thanksgiving 2012 promises a whole range of sales, discounts, great food and awesome movies. Here are all the films Hollywood has released to make celebrating Thanksgiving even more special.
To start off is of course the highly-anticipated end to the "Twilight" Saga, "Breaking Dawn Part 2". The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in an epic battle between vampires and werewolves with a few steamy vampire-on-vampire actions. The film has managed to reel in a whopping $72.1 million on its Friday opening night though it still falls short of the first film's debut.
Also out is Daniel Craig's third take on the epic role of James Bond. "Skyfall" hits theatres nationwide and what better way to shed all that turkey calories than on ogling and fan-girling over Daniel Craig? If sparkly vampires or guns don't suit much to the taste for Thanksgiving, the animated film, "Wreck-it Ralph" is sure to satisfy the feel-good vibes fit for the holiday.
Steven Spielberg might not have hit gold this time around but the anticipated bio-pic of "Lincoln" hits theaters this month enough to make the Thanksgiving Day a hell lot worse for some. Can't make it to Thanksgiving? Well, a few can definitely blame the paranoia of airplanes on Denzel Washington's latest film, "Flight" which also takes "flight" this month.
Thanksgiving is sure to hit a homerun for fans of Brad Pitt with his latest film which also debuts on November 30, "Killing Them Softly." Fans of Anthony Hopkins also have something to look forward to this Thanksgiving with another bio-pic, "Hitchcock" which also stars Scarlet Johansson and Helen Mirren.
The famous film adaptation of "Life of Pi" directed by Ang Lee also hits the big screen by November 21. If "Wreck-It Ralph" doesn't promise much of the "thanksgiving" spirit, then Dreamwork's latest animated film, "Rise of the Guardians" definitely boasts of the holiday cheer. The film that stars Chris Pine and Hugh Jackman's voices hits theatres by November 21.
Despite early reviews claiming it to be a flop "Red Dawn" pushes through to the big screen on November 21 which stars Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
So what is everybody else waiting for? Take the turkey and hit the nearest theatre to get some cinematic action just in time for Thanksgiving.
