These Celebrities Can’t Get Enough of Yoga’s Benefits
By this time, everyone's heard of all the good things yoga does to one's body but it doesn't hurt to brush up on the reasons why this activity does more than just your average exercise program. Many celebrities often endorse yoga's advantages such as stress relief, pain relief, better breathing and flexibility among others. Truly, the power of yoga makes a whole lot of difference in one's life. Some even swear that by doing their exercises in the morning, their focus and concentration just gets a boost for the whole day. These celebrities can give evidence to that.
Lady Gaga: The inspirational performer often finds enlightenment from her yoga teacher and she's not afraid to tweet about it.
Russell Simmons: This mogul prefers classes to private training sessions. If you're in New York, try dropping by Jivamukti and more often than not, you'll bump into him.
Jennifer Aniston: Aniston is devoted to Mandy Ingber, her instructor; so much so that she even did the introduction to Ingber's instructional yoga DVD.
Sting and Trudie Style: There isn't a couple that's more vocal about their love for yoga than this one-they've been practicing and preaching for an impressive 20 years and show no signs of ever stopping.
Jon Bon Jovi: This rock star traded heavy lifting at the gym to focus on his yoga and if anything, the 48-year-old's body is a testament to just how terrific the rewards of yoga can be.
Adam Levine: Speaking of musicians' bodies, Maroon 5's front man isn't one to say no to a few downward dogs and sun salutations. As his photos from January's cancer awareness campaign prove, yoga definitely sculpts, tones and chisels the body.
Michelle Williams: Williams wanted to share yoga's benefits with other single moms and founded the "Yoga for Single Moms Project." The organization assures free child care while mummy gets some alone time to do her yoga. What a wonderful way to give back!
