“Thor: The Dark World” is about Thor and Loki’s love story? That’s what it appears like if one has based the premise of the film on the fan-made movie poster a cinema in China has unknowingly put up. The photo shows the film’s stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston in a protective and loving embrace.

The sequel to the 2011 superhero flick “Thor” brings back Hemsworth as the titular character based on the Norse mythology god of the same name. Like the first film, fans can expect superhero action scenes, a dramatic premise, random comical lines, and a bit of love story between Thor and Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman) thrown in the mix.

But a cinema in China has inadvertently made the film look like a love story between Thor and Loki (Hiddleston).

Instead of the official poster, the unidentified Shanghai cinema has displayed a Photoshopped poster created by a fan, in which shows Thor has Loki in a protective embrace while the dark-haired villain appears to be savouring their closeness.

According to Reddit users, the text on the poster translates to “Thunder God 2.”

While the cinema’s hilarious blunder has got the Internet erupting in laughter, with fans even swearing that they would still watch that if it were real, there’s just one very serious concern lingering on some people’s minds:

But, but, they’re brothers!

Loki is adopted so the two don’t have blood connections, but still, the concern is understandable. It’s just plain weird (after all, they grew up together).

Fortunately, Shanghai moviegoers don’t have to overly analyse their feelings on the awkward, non-existent romance. They will still going to watch the same movie that Marvel Studios has produced.

“Thor: The Dark World” also stars Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Jamie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Zachary Levi among several others.

It hit theatres worldwide on October 30.
