Marvel.com proudly invites one and all to watch the U.S. Premiere of the Marvel Studios blockbuster film Thor live from Hollywood!

Watch the most thunder-packed red carpet coverage of all time as it unfolds on On May 2nd, at 8:30 PM ET/5:30 PM PT on Marvel's web site.

The event will be hosted by Isaiah Mustafa (Old Spice spokesperson, Madea’s Big Happy Family). You can watch the message from Isaiah in a YouTube video below. This is Marvel.com’s first-ever live streaming movie premiere! Fans of Thor can watch Isaiah as he speaks with the film’s stars, movie makers and other red carpet attendees. Starring Chris Hemsworth in the title role and Blackswan's Natalie Portmen, Thor opens in theaters Friday, May 6!

Thor promises to be an epic adventure that spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor. The film's hero is a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. In the film, Thor is cast down to Earth and found by Natalie Portman's character. He is then forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here on Earth, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Thor is directed by Kenneth Branagh, from a screenplay by Ashley Edward Miller & Zack Stentz and Don Payne and a story by J. Michael Straczynski and Mark Protosevich. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige produced the film. Alan Fine, Stan Lee, David Maisel and Marvel Studio’s Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, executive produced.

In addition to Thor, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including Captain America: The First Avenger on July 22, 2011; Marvel’s The Avengers on May 4, 2012; and Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013.
