'Three Stooges' Remake Falls Flat, but Here's the Trailer [VIDEO]
The trailer for the long-awaited new movie of "The Three Stooges."
The new actors who will star as Larry, Curly and Moe are Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos. But it looked like they were just wearing Halloween costumes.
The restaging of classic bits by the original Stooges felt like mere impressions. This is especially true with Sasso doing the 'woop-woop-woop' of Curly with a high-pitched voice.
The trailer is more a collection of the gags of the three with a story attached. The three guys are on a journey to save the orphanage where they grew up and ended as stars of a reality television show.
If you think this plot is lame, then wait until you hear the jokes delivered on this bit. Examples would be the nun in the bathing suit and the inability of the three to fully comprehend how the iPhone works.
On the other hand, the use of new technology in the movie turned out to be one of its major downfalls.
It felt like a desperate bid to make the three characters trendy and modern. If you love classic comedy, then this remake will excite you. But based on the trailer, you may doubt it will do justice to the original trio.
