"In Time" is Very Challenging, Says Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake reveals that after all his concerts and movies, "In Time" might probably be the most challenging role he has ever done.
"This is physically the hardest job I've ever done, including world tours. We're on set for 10 hours to 12 hours and 10 of those some days, we're running," the former *NSYNC member commented about his role when interviewed.
*NSYNC was one of the biggest boy bands back in the 1990s. They started out in 1995 and officially broke up in 2007. Each member have gone on solo careers.
Timberlake have gone to become one of the biggest stars in the music and acting industry, creating chart-topping hits such as "Sexyback" and starring in several movies, most notably in "The Social Network."
Set in the not-too-distant future, the Andrew Niccol-helmed scifi flick features Will Salas (played by Timberlake) accused of murder and having too much time on his hands, literally. He kidnaps a hostage (played by a stunning Amanda Seyfreid of "Mamma Mia!" fame) to keep himself alive, that eventually helps him find a way against the system that killed his mother (played by the sizzling Olivia Wilde of "TRON: Legacy" fame).
Despite the similarity, Collider reports that Niccol, Seyfreid and Timberlake have defended "In Time" as thoroughly different from "Logan's Run."
"Well, there's a real difference because, in Logan's Run, from what I remember, you die at a specific age. In our movie, it's exactly the opposite, where you can live forever. There's good news and bad news. The good news is you stop aging at 25 years old. The bad news is you have one year genetically engineered into your gene code, and so now you have to buy more time and make more time.
"However you can steal more time, you can do it. So, I think it's very different from that. I don't think they even had genetic engineering when Logan's Run was made." said Niccol.
Niccol is a writer and director best known for his different films depicting the lives of people and talks about moderns society. Some of his movies include "Lord of War," "S1m0ne," "Gattaca," and "The Truman Show."
Timberlake may run a lot in the movie, but he certainly is not running out of his Hollywood status.
