Tina Arena, a 45-year-old Australian record producer, singer-songwriter and actress, has announced the release of her new album 'Reset' on Oct. 18. It took 12 years in-the-making since she shared the depth of her love and life in the song. Her upcoming album is an autobiographical set of songs, giving insight into the times of a woman who earlier became a household name as an 8-year-old on Young Talent Time.

Reset was a collaboration of the Swedish songwriting team, Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck, British producer and songwriter Herbie Crichlow, and a group of young Australian pop writers. Dusty Springfield and Petula Clarke inspired Arena in the past but Reset is more contemporary offering and eclectic with balladry, electro rhythms and club tracks.

"I'm incredibly proud and excited about Reset," Arena tweeted. "It's my first English album of original material in 10 years and it really captures who I am and where I am this point in my life. I can't wait for Australian audiences to hear it." Arena is back in Australia from France with 8-year-old son Gabriel despite she was better received in France than her hometown.

"The French get me because I'm Latin, I have that feisty thing they totally comprehend. The difference with Australia is that the Anglo-Saxon culture is not programmed to be ignited by that," said Tina. "Somebody who is passionate and fiery in Australia, they call you pretentious or arrogant or a bit of a diva. But can you tell me what is diva-ish about somebody who is passionate?"

Arena is at the forefront of the Australian and French musical landscape, having sold over 8 million albums worldwide, including 'Sorrento Moon,' 'Chains' and Symphony of Life.' She has won awards in ARIA, Variety, World Music, People's Choice and is arguably one of Australia's most accomplished and highest paid female artists. She will also appear in Dancing with the Stars this year and is looking forward to work with Damien Whitewood, her professional dance partner in the show.
