Tina Fey Congratulates BFF Amy Poehler & Slams Taylor Swift [VIDEO]
'Saturday Night Live' alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are back hosting the Golden Globe Awards after an epic hosting gig at the 2013 Golden Globes. The two BFF's returned this year for another performance and cracked joked about everything including country superstar Taylor Swift.
'30 Rock' star Tina Fey made a subtle remark as she throws in a little slam to Taylor Swift during Sunday night's show. 'I just want to say congratulations again to my friend Amy Poehler,' says Fey as the show returned from a commercial break where co-host and BFF Amy Poehler won the Best Actress in A Comedy for her role in 'Parks And Recreation.' "I love you. And there's a special place in hell for you."
After hearing the congratulation speech of Fey, Poehler was laughing out loud for the unexpected joke. Social media watchers quickly grabbed the opportunity and pegged it as a diss against the 24-year-old country singer. The famous line was taken from the 'Red' singer's interview with Vanity Fair following the 2013 Golden Globes when the famous comediennes threw a joke about Taylor's love life.
Swift was clearly not amused after the 2013 Golden Globes joke as she tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Nancy Jo Sales, 'You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.''
Now a year later, the joke is still an instant hit but as of this writing the Swift camp is not making any comments. The Grammy winner also attended the Golden Globes where she was nominated for Best original Song for 'One Chance's' 'Sweeter Than Fiction.'
But Swift is not the only target of Fey and Poehler Golden Globe jokes, George Clooney was not spared as the two made an underlying message of the actor's recent movie 'Gravity.' The funny joke says: 'George Clooney would rather float into space and die rather than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.'
