Tina Turner, the US-born superstar, has married her longtime partner and is reportedly going to celebrate the union in a Buddhist ceremony.

The 73-year-old retired signer married 57-year-old record executive Erwin Bach in a civil ceremony on the banks of Lake Zurich in Northern Switzerland a few days ago , according to the municipal official, Hannes Friess.

The pair will celebrate at the manor on Sunday with 120 guests to witness an intimate Buddhist ceremony, according to Swiss media reports.

Some music industry A-listers such as David Bowie and Sade are expected to attend along with television talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, according to Swiss weekly Schweiz am Sonntag.

All the guests were requested to wear white.

Tina Turner, who traded in her US passport for a Swiss passport earlier this year, will also be wearing a white gown rumored to be designed by Giorgio Armani, according to the newspaper.

Swiss media reported that the couple had sent out letters to their neighbours in advance for the racket that they will make on Sunday.

Turner, born in Tennessee, was behind the hits like We Don't Need Another Hero. She had a career more than 50 years. She moved to Switzerland in 1995 when Bach moved to the country.
