Titans Rage Online: Wrath Of The Titans Trailer Still Gains Attention [VIDEO]
"Clash of the Titans" may not have received that much critical acclaim, but that does not mean that it is not up for a sequel. In fact, a trailer for "Wrath of the Titans" has already been released, and is gaining momentum in relation to the its predecessor.
The movie starts ten years after Perseus defeats the Kraken, with a 10-year old son as proof of the ten-year gap between the two movies. Perseus is asked by his father Zeus for help, after Kronos, one of the Titans and is, consequently, the father of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon, escapes and takes revenge on his sons.
It is up to Perseus, along with the help of Andromeda, Argenor, son of Poseidon, and Hephaestus, to dive down the underworld and rescue Zeus to stop the world from becoming decimated.
"Same territory as before, of course. Major battles with a host of CGI beasts in the offing, but, on first inspection, the design work this time doesn't look quite so much as if it's come about by having someone crane over Guillermo Del Toro's shoulder to look at his sketchbook.
Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: LA) is the director, taking over from Louis Leterrier, and it does look as if he's delivered the grittier take on the material he promised a few months ago," reported Empire Online about the upcoming mythological film and the change in directors.
Sam Worthington reprises his role as the demi-god Perseus, along with Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston as Zeus, Hades and Poseidon respectively. Newcomers to the film lot is Bill Nighy, who will portray Hephaestus, the god of craftsmen, and Toby Kebbell, known for his role in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," will play Argenor, the son of Poseidon.
Replacement actors are also present, with Rosamund Pike playing the role of Andromeda, replacing Alexa Davalos who played the part in the last movie. Edgar Ramirez will be playing Ares, god of war and bloodshed, who was played by Tamer Hassan.
There is a great chance that this movie will be a flop like the first one, but then again, it is better to think that they have learned from their mistakes the first time and have finally perfected "Wrath of the Titans."
