Tom Cruise has reportedly found a new love interest in the form of Lindsay Lohan. The unlikely pair are apparently dating, but opposing reports now claim that their romantic relationship is non-existent.

Earlier in October, various claims said that the 28-year-old former troubled child and the 52-year-old “Mission: Impossible” star have started flirting with each other when they met at a celebrity hotspot in London. OK! magazine also reported that since their first accidental meeting, they are now seeing each other.

“Lindsay is absolutely buzzing – she’s always thought the world of Tom,” a source told the paper, adding that Tom “genuinely thinks he can help Lindsay turn her life around.”

However, a conflicting report claims that it’s a far-fetched speculation.

“Never has one thing been so not true. This may be the most insanely funny lie ever told. Tom is not going to date Lindsay Lohan,” a source told Hollywood Life.

He’d be friendly to her in her company but dating is far-fetched, she would be lucky to even be in a film with him,” the insider continued. “The closest they will ever be together is in the same room somewhere but that is it.”

As Heat World also pointed out, the story about their supposed dating isn’t new. Back in 2006, before Tom married Katie Holmes, he was rumoured to have had a list of potential wives that the Church of Scientology provided him. One of those names included Lohan’s.

When Vanity Fair published the same story in October 2012, saying Cruise’s beloved church had been vetting potential partners for him, Lohan quickly denied her involvement, tweeting, “I just want everyone and Tom Cruise to know that I have/had no part in the Vanity Fair story. Nor has anyone in my life, personal and work-related.”

Cruise has, to the media’s knowledge, remained single since his split from Holmes. Lohan, on the other hand, is also single.
