Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman Reports: Estranged Couple Fighting Over Son’s Weight [PHOTOS]

In the middle of a war between his two Hollywood superstar parents, Connor Cruise is reportedly the reason why Nicole Kidman "lashed out" at ex-husband Tom Cruise. According to OK! Magazine, the two stars are feuding over their son's health after the "Grace of Monaco" star saw the pictures of Connor on the beach with a "pudgy midsection."

"Nic thinks Tom has been too permissive with Connor and [sister] Isabella. She fought for more structure, but Tom goes by Scientology's parenting ethos, which suggests parents treat kids like grown-ups," a source told the publication.

It was just recently that the Oscar-winning actress revealed in the June issue of Australia's The Weekly magazine how proud she is with her kids with the "Edge of Tomorrow" actor: Isabella, 21, and Connor, 19. "They are generous, kind and hardworking," Kidman told magazine during the interview. "And these are traits that I love to see in my children."

Thanks to Connor's recent picture, the actress allegedly offered to pay for her son's nutritionist because she is worried about his lifestyle. But based on reports, Connor blew her mother off. Another insider who knows about the situation told Gossip Cop that these claims are all "ridiculous and false."

"If it were the choice between my family and Keith, and my career, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid," she said in an interview with The Weekly magazine. "The most important things to me are the love of our relationship and my children. At this stage of my life, and with time being so precious, the joy I get from us as a family outweighs any joy in any other area of my life, by far."

Together with his sister, Connor lives full time with Tom and practicing Scientology, and since 2007 the aspiring DJ haven't been photographed with their mom. While her older kids lives in California, Kidman and her country singer husband Keith Urban lives in Australia and Nashville with their two daughters, Sunday Rose, five, and Faith Margaret, three.

Although the actress is super proud with her older kids, she haven't spent much time together with them in the past several years. Connor and Isabella both chose to live with their dad even if the actor went on to marry Katie Holmes and started their own family.
