Yes, Tom Daley had a girlfriend of whom he had dated for a few months before the destined meet with his current beau. Now, Tom is reportedly dating Oscar-winning Hollywood screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

19-year-old Daley met 39-year-old Black after the Nickelodeon Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles in March. Daley did not name the mystery boyfriend but friends revealed that he is dating Dustin Black.

During "The Jonathan Ross Show," Daley said it was like "love at first sight," but also mentioned that it came as a shocker that he had fallen for a man.

"People say "why did he have a girlfriend last year?". Well, because I had a girlfriend last year," said Daley in a report by the Daily Mail.

"And it wasn't until spring this year, it came upon me. I didn't expect it and it happened. Everything kind of clicked, everything went right," continued the Olympic medalist.

Ross asked on the show that if Tom was surprised with what had been happening in his life to which he replied, "It was the fact I was falling for a guy and it happened so quickly."

Tom is currently not ready to label his relationship as everything is new to him. However, Daley's friends revealed that he was dating a woman in March but parted ways with her when he met Black at the awards show.

"Their relationship was pretty informal, but when he got back, she heard he had met someone else. She was pretty upset because she had feelings for him, but she had no idea it was a man until this week," revealed friends of Tom Daley.

Tom's friends also revealed that things fell into place and she (Tom Daley's girlfriend) came to know who he was seeing. Not being the bitter ex-girlfriend unlike a few Hollywood celebrities, Daley's ex is actually happy for him.

"I can't get him out of my head all the time," says Daley to Ross.

"It really was love at first sight. I've never felt anything like it before. I hadn't even talked to him and I was like okay, wow, I didn't know what to do," added Tom.

According to Daily Mail, Tom Daley was rumoured to be seeing U.S. diver Kassidy Cook last year.
