Tom and Suri Reunited, Cruise Flew to New York to Spend Overnight with Daughter
Since his shocking split from Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise was seen again with daughter Suri for the first time after divorce.
When the shooting for his latest movie project "Oblivion" wrapped up yesterday, Tom Cruise made a quick stop to New York to spend overnight with his 6-year-old daughter Suri.
Tom was pictured carrying his youngest child while Suri wrapped her arms around her father as they enter the Greenwich Hotel. The youngster was wearing an orange dress while cuddling a stuffed toy.
According to reports from TMZ, Tom had "no contact" with Katie when he collected Suri to spend the rest of the day with him. Tom's sister, Cass Mapother was also seen arriving at the hotel with an armful of toys which were probably for her niece.
Tom and Suri were last spotted on June 16, when they last dined as a family together with Katie in a Sushi Samba restaurant in Iceland. The recent get-together of the father and daughter must have been an emotional one. Tom and Suri have been communicating via phone and video chat over the past few weeks due to the divorce and child custody filed by Katie.
The meet-up was even more moving given that Katie and Suri were both involved in a recent car accident. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident as onlookers said it was just minor.
Last week, Tom's lawyer, Bert Fields, said that the "Mission Impossible" star was so eager to be reunited with his daughter.
"Tom loves Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man, and dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world," he said.
