Is Lara Croft back to rule the big screen again? Producer Graham King has intentions to do so.

It has been a while since Lara Croft of the Tomb Raider movies ruled the big screen. Must it be because the original franchise of the movie was a total waste and made gamers of the video franchise cast it off as a fail?

However this alone did not stop writer and producer Graham King from continuing Lara Croft's legacy. The release target date would be by 2013 with the story in the works.

Rumors that first spread were about Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby to write the script but the script had been turned over back to producer Graham King.

What did King have to say in all this?

"We just got the script in on 'Tomb Raider' and it's really good. It's something that, for me anyway, is different, you know rebooting a franchise that I didn't produce to begin with. But there's something about her character and going back to her roots, and that's what we're doing with this. You're actually gonna meet her before she has all the powers as Lara Croft. It's more of a character study, but it's a really fun, fun adventure story," says King in an interview with Collider about what changes they made in the whole concept of Tomb Raider.

With the script undergoing changes will the cast character be changed as well? For those hoping they'd get to see Angelina Jolie back in tight fitting shorts and a tank top in action well don't hope too much. Even a cameo appearance won't be much to hope for either.

"I suppose if this new version is a much younger version of Lara Croft, some kind of bookend featuring Jolie would work, but that wouldn't feel like a franchise reboot as much as a prequel," says King about rumors of him casting Angelina Jolie for the reinvented Tomb Raider.

As of now, Tomb Raider is sure enough to make progress as 2013 is soon to arrive. Gamers and fans of Tomb Raider must stay tuned.
