Top 10 Most Googled People in Australia for 2011
Australians are searching for wide and various things through Google. This could be the best way to describe the 2011 "most googled" list of Australia released by the giant search engine.
Topping the "What is" list is "love" which prompted Johnny Luu, spokesperson for Google to remark that "We (Australians) are either a very romantic or a very jaded bunch". In terms of the "most searched" list, Apple's iPhone 5 placed number 1 while the political situations in Arab Apring and Libyan uprising ranked as number 2. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter were also placed in the ranking. Luu also added that "What the top overall search list shows is Australians are as obsessed with social networking as ever, with Facebook and YouTube being the top overall searches." In terms of travel locations, Byron Bay, Hamilton Island, and Blue Mountains claimed the top spots.
