TOP 10 Reasons That Makes the New Google Motorola DROIDs Better than Previous Android Phones
Verizon Wireless and Motorola teamed up to release a brand new line of DROID Android smartphones. While the release is set for the United States as of the moment, it is only a matter of time before the DROID phones hit other markets just like how Samsung, HTC, and Apple have been doing. There are several reasons why people should check the latest Android mobile offerings.
The three handsets are the the DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX and DROID MINI. Presently, Verizon will be carrying the phones exclusively. The smartphones will hit stores beginning August 10. Why customers should get it? There are ten reasons why.
Touch-Less Control
Android phones before already featured voice-control but Motorola's version offers "Touchless Control." Touchless Control is connected with Google and it will be available on Android Jelly Bean devices. The unique thing about this feature is that the mobile phone can be set up or "trained" to recognize the user's voice specifically.
Android Approach by the Maker of Android
Motorola operates under Google and Google created Android. There is no other company who can better understand how the platform works and what features it goes well with than Google itself. Unlike other companies like LG, HTC and Samsung, Motorola is not out to "de-Googlefy" Android. Users can expect a better and even purer Android experience.
Zap Sharing
Android smartphones feature wireless-media-sharing but Google offers Zap for these DROIDS. Instead of the usual WiFi Direct, Bluetooth or other short-range wireless methods requiring users to tap their phones together, Zap Sharing uses the phone's WiFi or cellular network to identify compatible devices nearby. People can easily share images with one another if they want to.
DROID Notifications
These phones do not feature any type of LED indicator for notifications. Instead, they display flash application of specific icons like app notifications and new messages. They will continue flashing the notification until read or dismissed. The different thing about these notifications is that the phone highlights which ones need the most attention.
'X8 Mobile Computing System'
All three DROID smartphones run on a Motorola-branded "X8 Mobile Computing System" compared to the standard processor system found on competitors. The X8 has eight cores: four for graphics processing, two for application processing, one for natural language and one for contextual language. The devices feature 2GB of RAM with dual-core 1.7GHz processors. This means they are 24 percent faster CPUS while their GPU performance is 100 percent faster.
Quick Capture
The latest DROID lineup features a design allowing users to open their cameras faster than most devices on the market. Hold the idle device and rotate rapidly like opening a doorknob. The device immediately jolts back to life. All devices have 10MP cameras.
DROID MAXX Battery Life
Verizon claims the new DROID MAXX offers 48 hours of battery life. The will be 16 hours more than the old version. The smartphone works with a 3500mAh battery. Despite the gigantic design, the overall appearance of the MAXX is still thin. The device is only 8.6mm and 0.34 inches thick. The DROID ULTRA and DROID MINI have 2130mAh and 2000mAh batteries respectively.
Users will have to wait until August 20 to try these new set of mobile phones.
