1. Wicked Wisdom - Jada Pinkett-Smith on vocals

This experimental nu-metal band featured Will Smith's wife back in the mid 2000's, and was able to release two full-length albums. This metal band was formed in, no-less than sunny California, where Smith (under the stage name Jada Koren) met her bandmates Pocket Honore, Cameron Graves, and "Rio" in 2002.

2. Juliette and the Licks - Juliette Lewis on vocals

The actress formed the band in 2003, thinking acting wasn't as good as a medium to express her angst-ridden talent. The last album that this band released was called "Four on Four" in 2006, before Lewis formed her new band, Juliette and the New Romantiques.

3. Wapaint - Shannyn Sossamon on drums

This indie band gained hipster recognition with its then-all-female line-up, with the "Wristcutters: A Love Story" actress manning the percussion set. The actress was replaced by a male drummer before musician Stella Mozgawa restored the all-girl set up. Sossamon shared the stage with her sister Jenny Lee Lindberg (on bass) in this band.

4. She & Him - Zooey Deschanel on Vocals

The "New Girl" actress doesn't only charm on screen, but she's got the voice of a hipsteriffic angel. In this indie pop duo, Deschanel provides the sensual voice that completes the band's sound, not to mention the delicate crashes of the tambourine when performing live.

5. 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts - Russell Crowe on Vocals and Guitars

Some, or most everyone will be surprised that Aussie actor Russell Crowe has a rock band where he sings and plays guitar. Formed in 1992 by the actor, the band had a run until 2005 when they renamed themselves as The Ordinary Fear of God. This band was able to produce a respectable amount of records and is still playing special gigs around Sydney.
