The show lost to "Breaking Bad" in the Best Drama Series category and even show stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright lost the coveted Emmy's in their respective award categories.

Jeff Daniel the Best Actor in Drama Category: Beating "Mad Man" John Hamm and Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad", Jeff Daniel took home the best Actor in Drama series category for his role of a news anchor on HBO's "Newsroom." Daniel had won for the first time and according to Hollywood's reporter.com, the actor was surprised to win. "There are six of us nominated, there easily could've been 10 other guys who could've been where we are. It's a really crowded time in television. It's a great time to be in television. I felt the work stood up to what the other guys were doing, but we're all doing different things. It's anybody's game. I was happy to win but surprised because it could have been anyone." said Daniel in his winning speech.

Merritt Wever of "Nurse Jackie" gave the shortest speech at Emmy 2013. "Thank you so much. I got to go, Bye," Wever said after winning an award for the Best Supporting Actress. Really that's all Wever had to say after winning the coveted award?

Bobby Cannavale winning for "Boardwalk Empire" and Anna Gunn for "Breaking Bad" in the supporting actors category was unbelievable as they were competing against previous years emmy award winners.
