TouchWiz is not separable from any Samsung Galaxy device, and it is not considered as the best user interface according to speed among other Android smartphones. However, there are plenty of ways to make it smoother and faster.

1. Use the Multi-tasking Window

Most of Samsung Galaxy devices can access the multi-tasking window via a long press on the home key or button. All recently launched and active applications are displayed which can be closed by simply sliding them to the right or left. Deactivating these applications free up space on the RAM which is also being used by TouchWiz UI.

2. Stop Unnecessary Applications

No matter how big the RAM is, too many applications being processed by the system can slow it down overtime. Manually turn them off when not in use by going to "Settings > Applications manager > Running." Another way is to turn off automatic syncing or log out applications such as Facebook or Twitter manually to free up the RAM.

3. Stop the S Voice from the Home key

S Voice feature is Samsung's alternative to the Siri and can be accessed through the device's home key. For users who do not need much of the S Voice feature, turn it off from the home key accessibility by selecting "S Voice app > Settings > uncheck the Open via the Home key."

4. Widgets

Each and every widget you put on the home screen eats specific amount of RAM which runs randomly in the system. Weather, clock, social network and email widgets consume processor speed, RAM allotment and even battery life. Delete unnecessary widgets to speed up and juice more battery on your phone.

5. Regular Refreshing of Your Device

It is highly recommended to reboot your Galaxy phone or tablet regularly such as when you charge them. Android OS manages memory and frees up whenever needed; however, the system doesn't eliminate every applications ongoing or refreshes cache memory while the device is active. Whenever you reboot the device, Android frees memory, delete cache memories from browsers and re-initialises application.

6. Animations and Live Wallpapers

Animations and live wallpapers are so cool, but they delay certain activities on your device. If you want to make your Galaxy gadget act snappier, turn off the animation from the "Settings > Developer options" and change your live wallpaper into a static one to lessen the stress on the RAM.
