1. Seesmic - There are many Twitter apps on Android and Twitter itself launch its own-brand app but users are still sticking with Seesmic. It offers support for multiple accounts and has a home page widget that shows the latest tweets in a fashionably sleek and professional design.

2. Facebook for Android - While Facebook for Android lacks in features compared to Facebook but it was recently updated to add support to the app, allowing the users to communicate in real time. The app is stable, simple and fast.

3. National Rail Enquiries - The third-party National Rail apps that is used to be free but now paid-for has launched its own free app, the National Rail Enquiries. 6. WordPress for Android - This app started as an independent creation before WordPress decided to buy it, hiring the creator to develop it in-house.
