The 90's certainly had great movies that were not all about sex, drugs and fame. These movies were the ones that brought comedy and reality together. Some of the best movies of this generation are still known and are still widely renowned for the actors, storyline and simply the film in its totality. 1. 10 Things I Hate About You

Starring child actor Joseph Gordon Lewitt along with Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, there is nothing more you'd want in this movie. It is a feel good movie that has a little bit of everything, love, high school, Shakespeare and funny teachers.

2. Titanic

One of the highest grossing films made that actually captured the hearts of many was this particular movie about the tragic "Titan" incident. Staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the movie opened doors for these actors and also won best picture.

3. Forrest Gump

It stared Tom Hanks and is still a well-known movie to date. The famous lines "run forest! Run" and "life is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you're gonna get" came from this particular movie. It gave Tom Hanks and swept a whole load of Oscars. It is still among the highest grossing films.

4. E.T

Who could ever forget cute little Drew Barrymore and E.T? It is one of the most endearing movies where a little kid learns to be friends with an Alien that is trying to reach home. Remember the lines "E.T phone home".

5. Schindler's List

It was produced by Steven Spielberg and is about a German businessman who saves many Polish-Jewish people by employing them in his factory so that they would not be killed by the Nazis. It has a great musical scoring and is a worthy movie to watch that will move your heart.

There are certainly a lot of movies that the 90's has produced and these are all inspirations to the movies made now. There may not have been 3D effects and additional film making artifacts and computers back then but the 90's certainly gave quality movies. Only a 90's kid would know this.
