Tablets have evolved from being an optional device to being a must-have device in a person's life either in business or personal dealings. Many companies have noticed this sudden shift as various tablet models are being manufactured and marketed in the market.

Apple is considered as the biggest player in the tablet market and it still holds the dominant position in regards to their line of tablets. According to a research report done by Forrester, Apple has 73% of all tablet sales in the market. The success of their newest tablet known as the "new iPad" also proves the company's hold in the tablet market. Though it seems like Apple is still ranked as number one, many experts believe that Android tablets are proving to be a worth alternative for users who are looking for a cheaper yet suitable substitute for Apple tablets.
