Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens have gone naked, hit bong and sniffed cocaine in upcoming film Spring Breakers opening this week, marking their good girl image turning really bad and wild. But the former Disney stars are not the only ones to have shed off their clothes in hopes to escape their good-girl images.

Some of the hottest female celebrities today have found their careers rocketing to superstardom (or plummeting to outright nobody with no projects) after breaking away from sweet on-screen images to real bad, naughty personas in films. Selena’s “rock and roll” move in Spring Breakers with nudity, sex, drugs and violence is a far cry from the sweet, wholesome, Disney roles she was first known for.

Anne “couldn’t stay princess forever” when she decided it was time to let go of her sweet, on-screen persona for her Disney roles in The Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted. She first broke away from her good-mode self when she boldy took on a role in Havoc, a drama film representing “crazy white teens” involved in gang-related activities in the busy streets of Los Angeles. The actress has since then got down and dirty in films. Other daring films she appeared nude and sexy include Love and Other Drugs and Brokeback Mountain. She has since then appeared in great films including ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ ‘Rachel Getting Married,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ She has recently won “the best supporting actress award” from The Oscars 2013, taking home winnings from almost all award-giving bodies in the last award season.

Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend has indeed gone so far from her Disney roles.

Jessica Biel
She is popularly known for her teen role as Mary Camden in the long-running family drama series, 7th Heaven. Playing the role of the good daughter of a pastor in the series, Biel’s move to go sexy and wild in her subsequent projects has created quite a stir. It was quite a struggle for Jessica to break away from her good-daughter-of-a-preacher role for years. In 2000, Biel posed semi-nude for Gear magazine only at the age of 17. This was quite a move, rocking Hollywood for months. Biel’s decision to appear on the cover, almost naked at 17, was reportedly her effort to get away from her contract from 7th Heaven and get more daring roles. She did. And successfully so. She has particularly made quite an impression for her roles in The A-Team (2010), Total Recall (2012) and Blade:Trinity (2004).

Natalie Portman
The Oscar winning actress, Natalie Portman may have begun her career in Hollywood not in the same light as Selena Gomez or Anne Hathaway with Disney roles in their resumes. Natalie was already kicking butts at a young age. No other child star had successfully pulled off a role as an assassin as a young girl. Natalie did in her first role as Leon: The Professional. She played the character of a girl who was adopted by an assasin (Jean Reno) and she found herself in a strange relationship in a violent drama in the 1994 film. Her subsequent films were more wholesome than her first major role. She was downright wholesome in many of her films including Where the Heart Is, Garden State, and her role as Queen Amadala in the Star Wars prequels. They were sweet and strong until she decided it was time to get naughty and sexy in a 2004 film by Mike Nichols titled Closer. Playing the role of a stripper in the film, Natalie engaged in provocative, sexy dance moves as Jane. Who would ever forget that scene with Clive Owen in a dancing pole at a club she was working for? Natalie has been getting great roles since then, including her award-winning role in The Black Swan.

Dakota Fanning
Who would ever forget that cute little girl in I am Sam with Sean Penn, Man on Fire with Denzel Washington and War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise? Dakota’s roles in her early career are ones to die for for her contemporaries. She was in collaboration with some of Hollywood’s top, A-list actors. Dakota has always been described as one who has been acting beyond her age. She articulates more mature than girls her age. She acted way better than fellow child actors. Until she decided it is time to get into films like the controversial one, Hounddog where she played the character of a girl who was abused and raped. She has then taken daring, evilish roles like Jane Volturi in the Twilight series.

There’s no doubt that Kristen Stewart is one of the most popular Hollywood female celebrities to date. She was named the highest-paid actress by Forbes in 2012. Not too many stars in their early 20s have propelled to fame like Kristen has in recent years. She became a household name when she nabbed the career changing role of Bella Swan in The Twilight series. But she had taken on wholesome roles early in her career. These include Disney Channel’s The Thirteenth Year; The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas and Panic Room with Jodie Foster.

Millions of fans idolized Kristen for her role as Bella Swan. Robert Pattinson’s girlfriend, however, took a very risky move when she had gone naked and smoked drugs in On the Road by Jack Kerouac. Kristen also took on very daring roles in The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys, where she played a stripper and was seen almost naked in many scenes of the film. Her recent wins at the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards shows however, that naked or not, millions of teens still love Kristen Stewart.
