"Almost Human" is set in the future (2048) and Los Angeles has lost the fight for a revived downtown. To add to the twist, the criminals are techy and powerful, therefore, humans cannot defeat them. LAPD has these androids known as synthetics or MXs. John Kennex played by Karl Urban is the loner police officer who is trying to regain his memory of an attack that cost the lives of his team, some two years ago.

John Kennex is teamed up with an outdated android named Dorian played by Michael Ealy.

Reasons you should watch "Almost Human."

1. Karl Urban: This dude is not new in the industry. Moreover, he is not in the sci-fi business. He worked in "Lord of the Rings Trilogy," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "The Bourne Supremacy," "Dredd," and "Pathfinder." In this new show, "Almost Human," Urban leads from the front.

2. The "Fringe" guys: So what if the television is saturated with sci-fi shows like "Revolution" and "Person of Interest." J. J. Abrams name is still respected in this genre.

3. That Hot Lady, Minka Kelly: We love when a show features one or two eye candies. Minka Kelly is that beautiful lady on "Almost Human." She was last seen as Jackie Kennedy in "The Butler" by Lee Daniels. In "Almost Human" she will be seen as a future police office. Nothing beats a beautiful lady in uniform, isn't it?
