Tracy Morgan Still 'Fighting To Live,' Severe Head Injury May Never Let Him Truly Recover
New information regarding Tracy Morgan's injuries, which he sustained back in June from a truck collision, has just been released. The comedian allegedly also suffered a head injury, which is believed to be so severe that he may never truly recover or be "the Tracy Morgan he once was."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tracy Morgan's attorney Benedict Morelli gave a statement about the comedian's health during a scheduling conference on his WalMart lawsuit. Aside from a broken leg, nose and ribs, the "Saturday Night Live" star also sustained a traumatic brain injury from the June 7 crash. "He's fighting to get better, and if there's a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he's going to try to do that," Morelli said.
However, it's still uncertain if the old Tracy Morgan will resurface. According to THR, Morelli claimed the comedian's injuries are so severe that it's difficult to determine his future condition. Likewise, "the fact that he had such a severe brain injury" and fighting to recover from it makes it even more uncertain if the actor will ever be the same again. "When you have a traumatic brain injury it takes a very long time to find out how you're going to do and how much you're going to recover," Morelli said.
Benedict Morelli reportedly didn't provide the specifics to the comedian's health condition but confirmed that he has yet to fully recover. Tracy Morgan is allegedly "still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better." However, his attorney supposedly claimed he is "just not better," thus everyone is "hoping and praying to get him back to where he was."
Inquisitr claims the actor-comedian's brain injury is the most recent news released regarding his health condition. It supposedly took several weeks before Tracy Morgan was properly evaluated since he had to undergo several weeks of therapy following the tragic accident at the New Jersey Turnpike. According to THR, news about Tracy Morgan's severe brain injury was released during a lawyers' meeting at a court in New Jersey on Tuesday. Morelli and other lawyers met with the judge to schedule the comedian's lawsuit against Walmart.
