Transfer News: Edinson Cavani to Stay at PSG Despite Man Utd Interest
Paris Saint-Germain hitman Edinson Cavani declared that he is, at the moment, content with staying at the Parc des Princes despite rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
"I'm certain that I'll stay - why wouldn't I?" he told French source L'Equipe.
"I feel very good in Paris, I have a contract to respect at PSG. I'd prefer to be here. I feel good here."
The 27-year-old Uruguay international, who moved from Napoli for a reported fee of around £57million, tallied 25 goals and 7 assists in all competitions, while helping PSG win their second consecutive Ligue 1 crown.
El Matador, however, had a disappointing World Cup finals, able to find the back of the net only once during the group stage, as his national side crashed out of the competition in the second round, suffering a 2-nil defeat in the hands of Colombia.
