Transfer News: Juventus Snatch Udinese Playmaker

Juventus revealed their latest acquisition of a seemingly busy summer, as Udinese playmaker Roberto Pereyra will be wearing the famous Bianconeri shirt after a season-long loan deal has been reached.

The 23-year-old Argentine did enough in the Serie A last term to merit a consideration from newly appointed manager Massimiliano Allegri.

He started 33 of the 38 fixtures in Italy's top-flight, playing in a variety of positions in the middle of the park, while tallying 2 goals and 6 assists.

"I'm happy and proud to join the club. I chose to come here because Juventus are a team that must win every time they cross the white line. The side is full of champions and I'll pay close attention to them in order to improve," said the former River Plate man.

Pereyra revealed that he will do anything that it takes to prove himself worthy of a regular spot in Allegri's squad, and will try to emulate from Juve legend Mauro Camonaresi.

"I haven't got a preferred position and I'm willing to play wherever I'm required. It will be difficult to break my way into the first-team at the start but I'll work hard to be ready for when the call comes," he added.

"Camoranesi was a fine player and won a great deal with Juventus. I want to follow in his footsteps here."
